JOB OPPORTUNITY ~ The Village Initiative is seeking to hire two Program Supervisors to recruit, train, and supervise caring adults to serve as mentors to African American youth 13-17 years old who are under the supervision of the Juvenile Court in Washtenaw County. Successful candidates must meet federal guidelines as being part of the “baby boomer” generation 55 plus years of age and retired from regular employment. Applicants must possess at least a bachelor degree, relevant experience and a commitment to serve their commitment. Computer literate and bring creativity and innovation to the setting. IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR CHURCH VOLUNTEERS – Volunteers are needed right away in the following areas:

Receptionist and Office Clerk on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon.

Transportation – On Tuesdays and Saturdays as Bus aides for Silver Club (8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and on Sunday mornings as drivers for the 11 a.m. services on the 4th and 5th Sundays.

Snow Removal Operators – several days are open to remove snow at the church and at the Child Care Center.  See Bro. Garvin William

    Childcare Center workers – on Monday through Friday, mornings and afternoons as scheduled or as needed.
